Volunteering

100 Women aims to directly engage and invite as many corporate partners as possible to join our programme through volunteering, fundraising and many other options.

Corporate Volunteering enables a business to up skill their workforce, motivate staff teams, and provide them with the vital wider involvement in their community which is known to significantly impact employee retention.

Volunteering can help an organisation to create and nurture a positive organisational culture in line with your corporate values.

The best part of corporate volunteering is that it brings together people that are often worlds apart. This is great for the volunteers, but most importantly it provides incredible opportunities for the people and the communities that they get involved with.

City Gateway would not be able to raise aspirations and enable people to reach their full potential without the continued support of individuals and organisations who are keen to join us in reaching out a hand, offering some of their time and working to make a genuine difference to the communities in Tower Hamlets.

Ways You Can Help

There are 3 key ways you can partner with 100 Women:

Sponsor a Course - Help us run a range of courses to empower women to tell their stories through different media:

* Courses include Creative Writing, Practical English, Public Speaking, Journalism and Photography - the resulting stories will be presented at our 100 Women Celebration (8th March 2011 in Canary Wharf)

* They focus on building confidence, developing soft skills, and encouraging creative expression, alongside promoting positive intergenerational communication.

* Each course costs c.£1,000 - we also welcome your involvement in course delivery if that’s of interest to you. more details...

Donate In Kind - We are always in need of course materials, and have our 100 Women Celebration Event to stock up for! Are you or your company able to donate anything from old office equipment, to beauty kits, food and drink, or venues? more details...

Volunteer - As a team or individual, one-off or long-term, volunteering opportunities include helping to run training and support workshops, office insight tours, community events, day trips, and our ‘What Women Want’ Dragons Den!
